Welcome To Our Website

The Gemmological Association of New Zealand was established in 1979 to promote Gemmology, assist Gemmologists and assist with education in Gemmology in New Zealand.

We help with Gemmological Diploma courses, through either Gem-A (Gemmological Association of Great Britain) or GAA (Gemmological Association of Australia).

We also arrange the GAA Diamond Grading Certificate course in Auckland each year. (See Diamond Courses page)

We hold bi-annual seminars with prominent international speakers.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Gemmology.

Our annual membership fee is $60.00, plus an initial $60 joining fee. ($120 for first year). Click on the Join Us option in the menu.
